Subhosting Program

Web designers, if you maintain your clients' webpages, the easiest and cheapest way of hosting them is by subhosting their websites.

How it Works

With subhosting, you can host a website that is directed to a subdirectory within your file space. You can have as many subhosted websites as you like, and you retain full control over the files for each website. Each subhosting plan includes 25Mb hosting space, 1 mailbox, unlimited email aliases, and 5 Gb data transfer to/from the subhosted webspace.

Registering for subhosting services

You first require a full web plan to be able to subhost your clients. If you have not done so already, visit our Hosting section to select an appropriate web plan.

You may then add clients that you wish to subhost by completing the web server application form as an existing user. Simply choose the Sub-Hosted Virtual Web Server option.

Administering Subhosted Client Mailboxes

As a manager of subhosted accounts, you shall need to configure your clients' mail accounts. You can use the Host1 Control Panel to do this, using your main account username and password.
