Netscape Communicator Configuration

Open Netscape and Edit, Preferences. Double-click on "Mail & Groups" to
expand the options

  • Click on "Identity"
  • Enter your real name
  • Enter your email address and your reply to address (these will be the same)

  • Click on "Servers"
  • Enter your "Mail server user name". (This is your CIA/Host1 login name)
  • For the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server", put mail.cia.com.au (unless you are dialed up to another ISP, in which case you will need to use their SMTP server - e.g. mail.otherisp.com.au)
  • For the "Incoming mail server", put mail.cia.com.au
  • Don't tick "Leave messages on server" unless you check your mail from
    multiple computers
