Website Statistics
Raw Log Files
Each virtual web server is configured to have a directory called
"logs", which has the raw logfile called "Log". This file contains
the raw log file for accesses to your website. You can run your
own analysis on your log file if you wish. This file is updated
nightly. The logfile is kept for a month then zipped up to save
space on the server. After another month it is removed completely
- if you need to keep historical files then you will need to download
the Log file every month.
Webalizer Analysis
Webalizer analysis is performed on your Log file daily. You can
access this analysis by going to http://www.yourdomain.com.au/logs/
. More detailed help about Webalizer's stats are available at the
Webalizer homepage,
with a quick
reference here. The quick reference page explains all the features
of Webalizer, including the difference between hits, files and pages.
Analog Web Stats
An alternate logfile stats package (analog) is run on your logfile
weekly. If your web site is www.yourdomain.com.au then you can access
the analog web stats at http://www.yourdomain.com.au/logs/anstats.html
Analog stats are not cumulative, so you'll only ever see the current
month of logs analised. |
